Young Platform Dogecoin review: Italy’s licensed crypto app, fee by fee

Young Platform sells DOGE for euros under a CONSOB MiCA licence dated 30 June 2026. The Pro order book charges 0.2%; the simple app is easier but prices in a spread it doesn’t publish.

CEX.IO no longer onboards new EU/EEA users (existing accounts are withdrawal-only) while its MiCA application is pending. EU readers should use the MiCA-licensed local options covered on this page.

Quick verdict

If you live in Italy and want to buy Dogecoin from a home-grown, fully authorised company, Young Platform is one of the very few names on the list. When Italy’s MiCA transition closed on 30 June 2026, CONSOB and Banca d’Italia named just nine entities allowed to serve crypto clients, and Young Platform was one of them. That alone puts it ahead of many apps Italians used before.

The Young Platform Dogecoin experience splits in two. The friendly app gives you a five-second firm quote in euros; it is simple, but the price includes a spread that is never shown as a number. Young Platform Pro is a classic order book with a flat 0.2% maker and taker fee, which is the cheaper and more transparent way in. We score it 7.0 out of 10: strong on licensing and local service, weaker on fee transparency.

Who runs Young Platform

The operator is Young Platform S.p.A., registered at Via F. Cigna 96/17, 10155 Torino, and the company says it has been active since 2018. Asset manager Azimut is reported in the Italian press as a shareholder. The app, help centre and blog are in Italian first, which matters if you prefer to read terms and support replies in your own language.

Young Platform listed DOGE back in 2021, according to its own blog post announcing the coin. Today Dogecoin has a dedicated buy page on the site with a DOGE/EUR converter and a minimum starting deposit of €20.

CONSOB MiCA licence and register status

Before MiCA, Italian crypto firms only had to register with the OAM, an anti-money-laundering list rather than a licence. MiCA changed that. CONSOB and Banca d’Italia became the competent authorities, and firms that had applied in time could keep operating until 30 June 2026 at the latest. On that day the two authorities published a joint release: eight CASPs authorised by CONSOB (CheckSig, Conio, CryptoSmart, Hercle, Hodlie, Olliv Italia, RIV-Digital and Young Platform) plus Banca Sella as a notifying bank.

We checked the European Securities and Markets Authority register on 14 October 2026. Its CASPS.csv file (dated 7 October 2026) lists Young Platform S.p.A. with an authorisation date of 30/06/2026, Italy as home state and France as a host state. Italian press reported that the licence covers eight of the ten MiCA service types, one of the widest perimeters in the country. Young Platform’s own DOGE page also states that it is authorised by CONSOB and Banca d’Italia as a MiCAR CASP.

Why does this matter for a Dogecoin buyer? A MiCA CASP has to meet rules on capital, custody segregation, complaints handling and conflicts of interest, and it can be supervised and sanctioned by a national authority. It does not make DOGE any less volatile, and it is not a deposit guarantee.

Dogecoin on Young Platform: pairs and limits

The fiat side for DOGE is the euro. On 14 October 2026 CoinGecko showed live DOGE/EUR and DOGE/USDT tickers for Young Platform, so you can trade Dogecoin against both euros and the Tether stablecoin. Which of those order books you see inside Pro may depend on your account, so check the market list in the app before you fund it.

The simple app works differently. You type an amount, the app shows a firm price for five seconds, and if you accept, Young Platform itself is the counterparty. That convenience is the point of the app, but you are not trading against other users there. For a quick look at what a euro amount buys, our DOGE calculator converts at the live market rate, which is a handy yardstick for the quote you get.

One coin, two doorsThe app quote and the Pro order book both end in the same DOGE. The price you pay to walk through each door is what differs.

How to buy Dogecoin on Young Platform, step by step

The flow below follows Young Platform’s own help pages. For a broader walk-through across exchanges, see our guide to buying Dogecoin.

  1. Create the account and verify

Sign up in the app or on the website and complete identity checks. As an EU-regulated CASP, Young Platform has to verify who you are before you can deposit.

  2. Deposit euros

A SEPA bank transfer is free (from €20, up to €4,000); instant transfers work only from Italian accounts. Cards cost 2.2% + €0.25.

  3. Choose app or Pro

In the app, search DOGE, enter euros and accept the 5-second quote. On Pro, open the DOGE/EUR market and place a limit or market order at 0.2%.

  4. Check the fill

Compare the DOGE you received with the market price. On the app route the gap is the spread plus the commission.

  5. Withdraw to your wallet (optional)

Send DOGE to a native Dogecoin address starting with D. Read the withdrawal fee on screen, and try a small test amount first.

Young Platform fees and spreads

Young Platform’s help centre (articles updated between 2 and 14 October 2026) gives clear numbers for the order book and for fiat, and a clear admission for the app: the quote includes a spread that varies with the asset’s liquidity and volatility, and no figure is published. The full fee page is rendered in JavaScript and could not be read, which is why the DOGE withdrawal fee below says “not published”.

Young Platform fees relevant to Dogecoin (help centre, checked 14 Oct 2026)
ItemFeeNotes
App buy or sellFirm quote with built-in spread + commissionSpread not published
Pro order book0.2% maker / 0.2% takerSame on EUR and crypto pairs
Card deposit2.2% + €0.25 (min €0.25)€20–1,500 a day, €3,000 a week
Bank transfer deposit€0€20–4,000; instant only from Italian banks
EUR withdrawal€1.99Minimum €20
DOGE withdrawalNot publishedFee page is JavaScript-only; check in the app

Here is what that means for a €100 purchase. The numbers are simple arithmetic from the table, not a quote.

Worked example: €100 into DOGE
RouteDeposit feeTrade feeKnown total
€100 by bank, then Pro€0€0.20€0.20
€100 by card, then Pro€2.45€0.20€2.65
€100 by card, then app buy€2.45Spread + commissionNot calculable

The lesson is mild but real: fund by bank transfer and use Pro if you are comfortable with an order book. Older guides mention a recurring “Salvadanaio” savings feature at 2.5%; we could not confirm that figure on an official page, so we leave it out of the table. Such spread, much mystery.

Deposits and withdrawals

Euro deposits. Bank transfers from Italian or EEA accounts are free, with a €20 minimum and €4,000 maximum per transfer. Card deposits by Visa or Mastercard cost 2.2% plus €0.25, with a €20 minimum, €1,500 per day and €3,000 per week, and are open to EEA cards only. Young Platform’s blog also lists Google Pay, Apple Pay and Bancomat Pay; Bancomat Pay was free until 9 January 2026, and we could not confirm the current price.

Euro withdrawals. Sending euros back to your bank costs €1.99 per withdrawal, with a €20 minimum. If you plan to cash out small amounts often, that flat fee adds up quickly; batching sales is cheaper. Our guide to selling Dogecoin explains the general cash-out flow.

DOGE withdrawals. Dogecoin network fees themselves are tiny, but every exchange adds its own withdrawal charge. Young Platform does not publish the DOGE figure in a readable place, so check it on the withdrawal screen. Always send native DOGE to a native Dogecoin address; never to a wrapped BEP-20 token address. Our Dogecoin network explainer covers address formats and confirmations.

Security and safety record

We found no reported hack or loss of customer funds at Young Platform. That is an absence of evidence, not a guarantee. What we can verify is the regulatory layer: MiCA requires authorised providers to keep client crypto segregated and to follow custody and complaint-handling rules, and CONSOB can supervise and sanction the firm.

The practical advice is the same as anywhere. Turn on two-factor authentication, ignore anyone on Telegram or WhatsApp claiming to be “Young Platform support”, and move DOGE you plan to hold for years into a Dogecoin wallet you control. Fake support accounts and look-alike apps are among the most common tricks; our Dogecoin scams guide lists the red flags.

Pros, cons and our score

👍 What we like

  • CONSOB MiCA CASP authorisation (30 Jun 2026), in the ESMA register
  • Italian company, Italian app and support
  • Free SEPA bank deposits from €20
  • Flat 0.2% maker and taker fee on Pro
  • DOGE/EUR plus DOGE/USDT

👀 What to watch

  • App buys include an unpublished spread
  • Card deposits cost 2.2% + €0.25
  • €1.99 per EUR withdrawal
  • €20 minimum deposit
  • DOGE withdrawal fee not shown publicly

We weight regulation at 30%, DOGE fiat access and liquidity at 20%, fees and transparency at 20%, security record at 20% and DOGE features at 10%. Young Platform scores well on the first and fourth: a fresh CONSOB authorisation and a clean record. It loses points on transparency, because the most beginner-friendly route has the least visible price, and the DOGE withdrawal fee is hard to find. The result is a fair 7.0 out of 10.

Our take

A solid, licensed Italian home for a first Dogecoin purchase, as long as you fund by bank transfer and buy on Pro. If you only ever tap “buy” in the simple app, you are paying for convenience you can’t measure.

Alternatives and who it suits

Young Platform suits Italian residents who want an authorised local provider, Italian-language support and free bank deposits, and who will take a minute to learn the Pro screen. It suits less well anyone who buys by card every week or wants every fee printed on one page.

If you want to compare, several MiCA-authorised venues passport into Italy with DOGE/EUR. Our Bitvavo review covers the Dutch exchange with a published DOGE withdrawal fee, our Bitpanda review looks at the Austrian broker, and the Bit2Me review covers Spain’s CNMV-licensed option. If Coinbase is on your shortlist, our Coinbase review covers it. The full line-up, scored the same way, is on the exchange reviews hub.

One note on CEX.IO, which appears elsewhere on this site: it is not taking new EU or EEA sign-ups while its MiCA application with Spain’s CNMV is under review, and existing EU accounts are withdrawal-only. For readers in Italy, a locally authorised venue like Young Platform is the more practical route right now.

Questions people ask

Can I buy Dogecoin on Young Platform?+

Yes. Young Platform has a dedicated DOGE buy page, and on 14 October 2026 CoinGecko listed DOGE/EUR and DOGE/USDT tickers for the exchange. You can buy through the simple app (a firm quote with a spread) or on Young Platform Pro, where the order-book fee is 0.2%.

Is Young Platform safe and regulated?+

Young Platform S.p.A. received a MiCA crypto-asset service provider authorisation from CONSOB dated 30 June 2026, and it appears in ESMA’s MiCA register with Italy and France as home and host states. We found no reported hack, but no platform is risk-free, so move long-term DOGE to your own wallet.

What are Young Platform’s fees for Dogecoin?+

On Pro, maker and taker fees are both 0.2%. In the simple app, Young Platform is the counterparty and the quote includes a spread plus a commission; the spread is not published. Card deposits cost 2.2% plus €0.25, bank transfers are free and EUR withdrawals cost €1.99.

Can I withdraw DOGE from Young Platform to my own wallet?+

Crypto withdrawals are part of the service, but the DOGE withdrawal fee sits on a JavaScript-only fee page we could not read, so we cannot quote it. Check the amount on the withdrawal screen and send a small test first to a native Dogecoin address starting with D.

What is the minimum to start with Dogecoin on Young Platform?+

The DOGE page says you can start from a €20 deposit. Bank-transfer and card deposits both start at €20.

Young Platform or Coinbase for Dogecoin?+

Young Platform is authorised in Italy by CONSOB and works in Italian, with free bank deposits. Coinbase holds a MiCA licence from Luxembourg’s CSSF and is a large global venue. Compare the fee tables in both reviews before choosing; neither is a recommendation to buy.
